Grading for our 2021 Winter Competition squads is just around the corner. We can’t quite believe it either, but after a season like no other, let’s hope we can get back to some normality next year. This email will lay out everything you need to know about grading, including key dates, costs and policies. All the fun stuff.
The 2021 Winter Competition kicks off on 10 April 2021!
All of the events are on Facebook, however you MUST register your attendance via the Google Form links below for each session you plan on attending. This is both for COVID safety as well as to assist with the planning of each session.
If you do not register and attend, you may not be able to play. If you register and fail to attend without notifying a committee member, this may impact your final grading outcome.
We only have one pitch for the first two sessions, so in addition to an 11-a-side game we’ll run some skill sessions on the side.
Grading for this season will take place on the following dates and times:

GRADING POLICY AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
We all know last year was difficult, which meant players were either unable or unwilling to attend training. However, the Committee would like to state from the outset that this year, with the worst of COVID (hopefully) behind us, there is an expectation that the minimum training requirements are adhered to (e.g. 60% training attendance for the Div 1s).
This will be agreed upon acceptance of your squad position and if you don’t match up to this agreement there will be consequences in terms of playing time.
Registration for the 2021 Winter Comp opens 1 JANUARY 2020 and you will receive an email prior to that date with all the relevant information. Please ensure you check your spam and mark us as a safe sender.
2021 SEASON COSTS
We are pleased to confirm the costs for the 2021 Winter Competition.
- Early bird special (returning players from 2020 Winter Competition who register prior to 10/01/2021) $400 (opens January 4th 2020)
- General Winter Comp registration $465
- Social membership $30
If you are graded ‘up’ or ‘down’ and a number clash on the back of your jersey occurs the club will cover the cost of a new jersey.
Payment plans are available for those in financial hardship. Please genuinely consider whether you need to take a payment plan – they should only be used for hardship, not convenience. It’s not the job of the committee to chase payment plans all season.
2021 REFUND POLICY
Due to several changes from CDSFA and FFA, a larger proportion of each player’s registration fee is non-refundable to the club. Unfortunately this means that we need to update our refund policy to mirror this. We encourage you to read this policy when you register – we’ve made it as fair as possible without putting the club in financial risk.
