Sydney Rangers – Mardi Gras Parade – Entries Close 12 Midday Friday 17 Jan 14

Hola all my fabulous Sydney Rangers

Laurence Stark here your choreographer from the Justin Fashanu Cup of Life show and last year’s Fair Day. Hope this finds you well and happy and ready to go to Rio!!!!

Your committee and I have been in discussion about this year’s Mardi Gras Parade and we would so love you to be involved and raise the profile of the Sydney Rangers in this the year of the World Cup in Rio. We are proposing to do a Latino Brazilian number and NEED YOU to be involved. I have a fabulous relationship with the gay Latino community here and they have not done a float in a few years and would love to collaborate with the Rangers and do an amazing entry with the most stunning costumes and possibly a live drumming troupe too. Their floats in the past have been so spectacular and it’s a perfect fit for your team to gain maximum exposure as we celebrate the best soccer team in the world and the world cup in their country.

I have choreographed three years of award winning floats for the Lifesavers with Pride and also choreographed the Bears six times and the Convicts twice. I pride myself on doing very simple choreography and know how to make non-dancers look amazing and all I ask from you is to have fun, spare four hours of your life, wear your footy gear and come and join the celebrations as the world cup is only once every four years. Can you really wait that long and can you watch the opening ceremony in Brazil feeling all that passion knowing you could have had the same feeling in front of your community and the whole world as the MG parade passes by? Guilt trip I know but I just really think this is such a winner for your club and will raise your profile, get more spectators to your matches, encourage more players to join and put you up there with the likes of the Convicts, the Stingers, the Wett Ones etc etc.

This is the year, it’s the World Cup, Soccer is growing and growing but we need YOU to play a part in promoting the sport you love and be an inspiration to others. Four hours of rehearsal is all it will take and we can work around your schedules and lock in dates and times nearer the parade. I so hope you will sign up and join us and have some fun, shake your bom bom and have the night of your life!!!

Please let the committee know asap so we can organise and I so hope to work with you again as I just adore your team and want you to have the best time.
